Communication, Education, Participation & Awareness (C.E.P.A)

The Communication, Education, Participation & Awareness (CEPA) program is a very good program and is suitable to be run continuously. It is conducted in every district in the State of Johor at least once a month.

The main topic of this program is related to environmental sustainability and biodiversity. The target group for this program includes school students, university students, government and non-government agencies as well as the general public.

C.E.P.A activities that have been carried out are such as awareness talks, exhibitions, area cleaning, environmental games, getting to know biodiversity, flora and fauna, team building and many more. The Johor National Park Corporation has also received positive feedback as a result of these activities.

Greening CFS Corridor launching

Thursday, 2 Dec 2021 – Econinja has received an invitation from the Johor State Forestry Department to jointly enliven the opening ceremony of the Malaysian Greening Program: 100 Million Tree Planting Campaign at the Mersing District. The ceremony was officiated by Tuan Haji Mohd Radzi bin Haji Mohd Amin, Officer of the Mersing District.

Johor State Forestry Department has launching the Greening CFS Corridor which contributes towards the 100 Million Tree-Planting Campaign, as part of the Communication, Education, and Public Awareness (CEPA) programme by the IC-CFS Project.

With the aim to curb carbon emission and to promote its sequestrations, a rehabilitation effort through the cultivation of 3,000 tree saplings of native species will be completed in the Central Forest Spine (CFS) area in Mersing, Johor
