Objective

The aim of this campaign is to spread awareness to all Malaysians on the importance of conserving forest areas and is also one of the Malaysian government's efforts to maintain at least 50% of the country's land area covered by trees and forest areas in line with the commitment during the Rio summit de Janeiro in 1992.

Greening CFS Corridor launching

Thursday, 2 Dec 2021 – Econinja has received an invitation from the Johor State Forestry Department to jointly enliven the opening ceremony of the Malaysian Greening Program: 100 Million Tree Planting Campaign at the Mersing District. The ceremony was officiated by Tuan Haji Mohd Radzi bin Haji Mohd Amin, Officer of the Mersing District.

Johor State Forestry Department has launching the Greening CFS Corridor which contributes towards the 100 Million Tree-Planting Campaign, as part of the Communication, Education, and Public Awareness (CEPA) programme by the IC-CFS Project.

With the aim to curb carbon emission and to promote its sequestrations, a rehabilitation effort through the cultivation of 3,000 tree saplings of native species will be completed in the Central Forest Spine (CFS) area in Mersing, Johor

GREENING THE EARTH: NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION 2022

Saturday, 1 January 2022 – Compartment 8, North Ayer Hitam Forest Reserve, Muar. This new year we start with noble intentions and good intentions. Malaysia Greening Program The 100 Million Tree Planting Campaign was held with the theme Greening the Earth: New Year’s Resolutions 2022.

This program has been joined by various agencies such as students of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Econinja.my, Johor State Forestry Department (JPNJ), and local residents. More than 50 individuals participated in this activity making more than 500 trees have been successfully planted.

GREENING THE EARTH: NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION 2022

Sunday, 20 March 2022 – Econinja together with the Johor State Forestry Department, conducted the Malaysia Greening Program Phase 3 which took place at the Maokil Forest reserve, Johor yesterday.

A total of 400 saplings have been planted in an effort to ensure the sustainability and well -being of the earth is always maintained. This program can also open our eyes that tree planting is very important today because the changes made today will have a good impact for the future.

Econinja together with the Johor State Forestry Department will continue to actively hold such programs in the future and always welcome the public to participate.
